Schlimmer hätte es nicht kommen können - It could not have been worse

Eigentlich fing der Tag recht gut an, dass Wetter war gut und der Wind war sehr seicht. Perfekt um eine Drohne zutesten. Also ab aufs Feld, die Drohne ausgepackt und auf ging es. Alles lief auch super, bis ich zum Teil kam, die Wegpunkte Funktion auszuprobieren. Drei Punkte gesetzt, natürlich nicht zuweit von meiner Position entfernt, damit die Verbindung nicht abbricht. Flughöhe betrug 30m, also alles perfekt für einen Testlauf.
Die Drohne hob ab und flog zum ersten Wegpunkt, alles im grünen Bereich. Nach einem kurzen Aufenthalt am Wegpunkt 1 peilte sie den zweiten an. Bis dahin alles in bester Ordnung.

Die letzte Aufnahme der Drohne, da war die Welt noch in Ordnung.

Doch dann plötzlich, Verbindungsabbruch zwischen der Drohne und dem Smartphone, dass als Kontroller diente. Anstatt dass die Drohne so wie es sein sollte wieder zurückkehrte, setzte sie ihren Flug fort zum zweiten Wegpunkt, und immer noch keinen Kontakt zur Drohne. Ich konnte nur zusehen wie sie den dritten Wegpunkt ansteuerte und dabei massiv an Höhe verlor. Ich war nur Zuschauer, konnte nur zusehen, wie sie ein ein nahe liegendes Feld abstürzte.

In diesen Feld liegt sie jetzt und ich kann sie nicht finden.

Schei..., habe mein Zeug zusammen gesucht und mich auf dem Weg zum Feld gemacht und sofort mit der Suche der Drohne begonnen. Nach drei Stunden habe ich die Suche dann abgebrochen. Es ist einfach unmöglich in einem dicht bewachsenen Feld eine Drohne zusuchen, die nur 164 Gramm. Jeglicher Versuch eine Wifi Verbindung mit der abgestürzten Dohne herzustellen, war vergebens.

Fazit, 137 Euronen einfach so in einen Feld versenkt und ich hatte noch nicht mal den Finger am Hebel. Das ist wirklich bitter, wäre besser gewesen wenn ich sie gegen einen Baum gesteuert hätte, dann wäre ich sauer auf mich selbst und nicht auf die Technik.

Das war mein Sonntag heut. Ach ja, einen fetten Sonnenbrand habe ich bei der Suche natürlich auch bekommen.

Actually the day started quite well, the weather was fine and the wind was very shallow. Perfect to test a drone. So off to the field, the drone unpacked and on it went. Everything went great too, until I partially came to try the waypoints feature. Three points set, of course not too far away from my position, so that the connection does not break off. Altitude was 30m, so everything perfect for a test run.
The drone took off and flew to the first waypoint, all in the green. After a short stay at waypoint 1, she headed for the second. Until then everything in perfect order.

The last shot of the drone, the world was still fine.

But then suddenly, disconnection between the drone and the smartphone that served as a controller. Instead of returning the drone as it should, she continued her flight to the second waypoint, still not in contact with the drone. I could only watch as she headed for the third waypoint and lost massively in height. I was just a spectator, only able to watch as she crashed into a nearby field.

She is in this field now and I can not find her.

Schei ..., I was looking for my stuff together and made myself on the way to the field and immediately started the search of the drone. After three hours I stopped the search. It's just impossible to find a drone in a dense field that's only 164 grams. Any attempt to establish a Wifi connection with the downed Dohne was in vain.

Conclusion, 137 Euronen just sunk in a field and I did not even have the finger on the lever. That's really bitter, it would have been better if I steered her against a tree, then I would be mad at myself and not at the technology.

That was my Sunday today. Oh yes, I got a fat sunburn in the search, of course.
