Cycling journey 300km Porto-Santiago de Compostela - part 1 - Arriving in Porto and enjoying the city
I went cycling with some friends a few weeks ago on a famous pilgrim trail between Porto and Santiago de Compostela. Four girls, four different characters had taken a leap of faith and chose to stick together and to their plan. We did cycle 300km with almost 3000m level of difference surrounded by some awesome views and today i decided to share them with you.
At our arrival in Porto we did a photo shooting session to be sure that we will have pictures while smiling :D
The arabic style looks beautiful on the buildings and those 3 umbrellas are adding some spice
My back and the sea from up there
Front view is also important
Quiet, empty streets on a Saturday
Beautiful, breathtaking city of Porto
Playing with light in a museum
Cute tall lovely tower
Always in love with street cats :)
Looking at a floor in a library i was petrified :D The beauty always shocks
The river down the street
Poetry about life - my personal view of the first couplet
"Muse please teach me to sing
With reverence and antique
A song for all of us
For all of us to understand each other"
Moon, always bring some magic
Everithing looks different in the night
More poems this time on the road
Just found a stone for my ring :D
This is the train station in Porto and our last stop before we went to sleep. I realise how easy the memories fade and how important is to do the things you want at the right time. My brain is slowly making space for new experiences and as much as I would like it to be different, tomorow memory of the sames experience will be even more in the fog. It will remain with me just the feeling that it was amazing and important for my journey as a human being.
Meanwhile the raining stoped in London so I will step out of my favourite cafe to allow new experiences to sneak in my life. I do like raining days as I am more inclined to reflect about life and is good food for my mind.
Rainy hugs,
Teodora
