What keeps everything moving?
But let's talk about people.
I know what's directly on your mind. Let me guess, you're thinking about love? Or is it money? Or are you scientifically basing it to gravity or friction? We can name everything what we may call it. But one thing is for certain, we are moving because we are determined to know are purpose in life and together with that, to get the most out of good things even though you were already swarming into it.
Now what drives us to know deeper what we really can't comprehend well?
Ego
The sense of fulfillment that you accomplished something out of your incapabilities and lack of skills will give you the utmost feeling of humility that will surely feed your ego. Worst case would be a situation where you will struggle to go beyond what you exceeded to do because you go by your self-centered point of view that you can do more and win more. Discontentment
Discontentment, as sometimes similar to greediness, it is where you put yourself on top of other people in terms on luxury, money, and some social to intrapersonal factors. You feel this because you know that the nature has a lot more to offer. But as you are so determined to dig down for treasures, you are depriving people around you the benefit that you are enjoying. It is totally okay to dream for more pieces of gold and silver but not to the extent that you are leaving traces of bad footprints - the end does not justify the means. And it is an ethical thing to be contented.
These two play a vital role as you mold yourself in reaching your goal. We may also associate things like love, money, etc. but what really keeps us moving is the essence of our ego to find what's best for ourselves and reach contentment. Maybe not all people were as determined as those you see on the television or in the newspaper or magazine but I am sure that not everyone's success is worth to celebrate with and not everyone's happiness is a sign of contentment.
