A Single Seed: A Somber Question Worth Asking

in #life6 years ago

Almost every adult alive (and probably dead) has thought about death before in their lives. One of the few certainties we know about our time on this Earth is that it will eventually come to an end. Our goals, thoughts, and daily activities will be vastly different from that of our neighbor, let alone a person halfway across the globe, but we share in common the realization of our finite period to enjoy this planet. So, naturally, we spend our time working jobs we don't like, saying yes to things we should say no to, and chasing money, something that will hold little significance when you're on your deathbed, besides passing on an inheritance. Goals are great, and work feels good if it's enjoyable, but sometimes it's worth taking a look at your life and your schedule, and seeing where your priorities lie. And then, asking yourself this:

If you died tonight, what would your obituary say?

Chances are, it can still be rewritten.

"A Single Seed" is my attempt to get out one idea every day that I've learned or accumulated over the years, with the hope that it may stick in someone else's memory bank as well. The idea may be related to fitness, business, life, or philosophy, but I think you'll find that many can change domains if you wish them to. With each seed planted, a new life awaits.
