An Early Walk to Donggongon town

Today, I went out for an early breakfast at Donggongon town after dropping off my daughter to school.
Located within the district of Penampang, Donggongon is famous for its Tamu or flee market. However the tamu only happen on Thursday and Friday.

After breakfast at a Mamak restaurant, I went to buy some fast food at one part of the town that sell varities types of fast food delight. This is the part of the town where you can buy cheap variaties local food. Some of the restaurant in Donggongon buy food here, hike-up the price a bit and sell it at their own restaurant.

This is the Deep fried glutinous rice balls. The dough is fried until golden brown so it is both crisp and chewy. If you take a bite of this delicious snack, you can feel and taste the crunchiness of the crust, the slight chewiness of the glutinous rice dough, and the delicious taste of radish filling inside. They sold it RM1.00 per piece here.

This is the famous delicious Cakoi freshly fried and sell RM1.20 per piece. The owner told me that she's also selling the dough to make the cakoi for RM10.00. You can make about 10 to 12 pieces of Cakoi from this dough.

As we walk to the the car, I saw a girl feeding these pigeons. Looking at her feeding the pigeons made me remember some complaint from the community here about these pigeon. They claimed that besides dirtying the place, the flocks of pigeons also cause various health concerns.

Since I don't live in this part of the town, I don't see why it would be bad for the health of a human to feed these pigeons, all you're doing is throwing rice or bread to them!

Just look at them...they're so adorable!
