The greatness of the Vikings
My pen-pal asked me to send him some pictures. He wants to start drawing again. The pictures he prefers should be about Vikings. He told me I can find them under tattoos as well and I should print it out large, it should not be fold or able to crincle. Lot of demands for a prisoner.
I know he loves Vikings and saw several docu about them. I only saw one. It was interesting. They took bloodsamples from people now living in the UK and run tests
Quess what? They discovered Vikings and the UK people are related.
It also turned out the Vikings were not that agressive as always been told. They married and mixed up without fighting or demanding to stick to their own habits. They simply used and lived by both (same with funerals).
Might be this picture does not fit the idea we have in mind about these "animals", but it is the truth.
We love to stick to old believes and keep on believing what once was told. Even if it is proved it all is a lie, based on nothing/fake news or a sick idea.
History and science can tell and learn us a lot. The Vikings were feared once and for a long time. They turned out to be different.
We could learn from them.
We can do what they did. Simply mix up with the people in the country we went to. The country where we hope to improve our life. Live our life and not force our habits and believes through the throat of those who welcomed us.
