The thinking of the rich and poorsteemCreated with Sketch.

I think this is a topic that everyone is interested in. Because most people probably want to be rich. Or a small number of people, they are already rich people around us. We will be more interested in such people, just as we usually talk about rich classmates and friends. Those people are usually the focus of our topic. I don't know! You who are reading this, do you think of this question, that is, why some people are poor, some people are rich.

Let's not discuss the standard difference between the rich and the poor. Because everyone has different standards for wealth. Let's assume that you're measured by a standard, psychologically perceived standard, and I'd like to ask, do you think you're a poor man or a rich man? If you are rich, did you ever think about why you are rich? So if you think you're poor, have you ever wondered why you're poor?

This topic sounds a bit interesting. Because a lot of people may answer with a playful tone. For example, “Fate”. In fact, this is a more in-depth topic. The feeling of wealth may poke at the most, deeply in our sense of value. So when I ask you this question, there may be people who will feel a little uncomfortable. So we're probably going to talk about the difference between poor thinking and rich thinking. One is the perspective of thinking, that is, our consciousness angle, the other is the psychological angle. That's our subconscious perspective.

Let's start with the perspective of thinking. Because most of the time we are used to thinking with mind-consciousness, thinking and solving problems.

If you're poor, you haven't become rich yet. You must have thought of 10,000 ways to become rich. But still can’t be rich, but the world's rich are still the minority, why? Let's first analyze it from a thinking point of view. What is poor thinking? What is the rich thinking? Here we can compare the seven big contrasts between the thinking of the poor and the rich.

The first thought is that we just said, which is “fate”. This is my life, I was not born to be a businessman; I was not born to be a leader. Those who say such a thing may mostly be poor.

The thinking of the rich and poor 1

It's hard to be rich all my life. Because the worst is such thinking, which will deny the ability to learn. The poor use excuses to comfort themselves by saying that they have no talent, there is no time. The rich will also encounter something they don’t know and a lot of difficulties, and they will also complain, but they have one more thinking, that is, what I need to do to change the situation. There are even some people who have a passion for difficulties, that is, the more they see the difficulties, the more courage they get. The more difficult it is, the more incentive he will find ways to change the present.

Sometimes we hear the word poor, we will feel uncomfortable, because the word, although it doesn’t bring any critical meaning, but the word triggered by the feeling and experience, may not be comfortable. So when you hear the words poor and rich, how do you feel differently? You can write these two words on white paper, look at them and see which word makes you feel more appropriate with yourself. Which word makes you feel closer to yourself? What's your feeling about the other word? This is a little game quiz. But it can be a preliminary reflection of your attitude and relationship with wealth and a sense of self-worth. And your two different concepts about the rich, the poor, are different.

To put it simply, the difference in thought is when you're in trouble, the way the poor and the rich think are not the same, the poor will think “why am I so unlucky”, and the rich will think “In order to change, in this case, what can I do?”

The second thought is that the poor save money, spend money, the rich make money, invest, spend money. If you intended to spend 10 dollars to eat, if you eat alone, this is consumption. If you invite a new friend, talk about cooperation in the process of eating, this becomes an investment. 10 dollars for investment, a year later can become 15 dollars, the consumption will become zero, investment will be extended over time, the value will increase.

The difference in this thinking is, the poor will think, I have ten dollars, how can I spend ten dollars wisely, and the rich will think, I have ten dollars, how do I spend it so that it becomes 20?

The third difference is learning skills. The poor will try to do everything themselves. The rich will find people from different fields to collaborate.

Let's say a company is getting a client from Germany, and that client can only speak German, do you learn German just to communicate or find a translator? I guess the answer is quite obvious, instead of spending time learning a new language, not only might not be able to perform well, your time and value will be wasted, and spend some money on a translator, can effectively solve the problems, this is resource integration thinking.

This example is obvious, many examples are easy to perceive, such as renovation.

Some people may spend a lot of energy and time trying to save money, buy their own materials, paint walls, find workers. Some people may go straight to a renovation company. But for those who think it is expensive to spend money on a renovation company, thinking that there is no need to spend that extra money. But people looking for a renovation company will think that they don’t have to worry that much, don’t have to waste time, save energy, and can do more things. The things they do can help them make more money. When they make more money, they can ask more people to help them do more things. In their minds, integrate resources, use of resource value, for themselves, to strive for greater space for time, is their way of thinking.

And for the first type of thinking is much simpler, they will directly think that they can do it themselves can save more, they do it themselves, they think they save a lot. But in fact, in the process of doing it themselves, the time and effort they used, if used in other ways, may produce greater value. This may be what the first type of thinker not taken into account. Of course, I just gave the example of a renovation company, this case may not be particularly appropriate, you might say, I just love to do it myself, no problem. People who love to do it themselves, in the process of doing it, they get happiness, satisfaction, these are the harvest of your choice, it is not something that can be measured by saving money. So the difference between this thinking is that what I can take advantage of the resources integration? Rather than merely refuse to look at a person's value on its own, even more, the rich are good at integrating mind, good use of resources to carve out more value for them.

The fourth difference is that the poor busy with their hands and feet, and the rich are busy with their minds. The things the poor do every day is to work and entertainment, looks like they were living their life the most. It is also possible that most of the time the efficiency is not high. The rich may be busy every day, one day without thinking will feel uncomfortable, one day without learning will feel uncomfortable, one day without communication will feel uncomfortable, follow wherever there is a chance to learn and resources. We can see that the poor and the rich have different directions of investment.

The fifth way of thinking is that the poor go to relatives, the rich make friends. Everyone has relatives and friends but also needs to often keep in contact, the problem is the rich and the poor practice is completely different, when the new year comes, the poor are basically meet with relatives. Of course, this relationship is related to social circle, because the circle is relatively small, the rich during New Year, may need to make more friends, the accumulation of more extensive contacts, people are the biggest resource, and how people choose to have a relationship, the result will be different. So in this respect, the poor may be more capricious, and the rich may be more open-minded. In terms of self-awareness, acceptance, and openness, the poor will be better at opening themselves up and making friends.

The sixth difference in thinking is looking for cheap and discount. What is the common little cheap in life? For example, the supermarket discount, you always have such people around, seeing the discount, they consider that if you do not buy now, you will miss out, and not thinking about do I need this product in the end.

What the poor considered is, “Cheap, I earned that discount”, the vision is only focused on this point. In front of the cheap, and the rich thinking maybe, although discounted, but do I have the time to buy it, is this product is what I need? They may be more precise in choosing what is right for themselves, and their vision will look a little further. They would go and pay some, and in the harvest, probably what they see more is what can I bring after I pay for these? So the difference, simply put, is the difference between the perspective and vision.

Our personal image, we know a lot of them are based on money, we even destroy our health to make money, some people argue with friends because of money, no longer keep in touch, for them, money is more important than friendship. And there are people who even kill themselves or kill others because of money, and they see it as more important than their lives. There are certainly some deep reasons behind these.

I want to leave you a few questions. What do money and wealth mean to you? How much do you need? If you are financially feeling completely safe, how will you live your life? What does it bring to you when your money is more than making you live a comfortable life? Why do you need more money? What does freedom mean to you? From where? What kind of freedom do you want, or what do you want to do? What do you hope to prove or get through these freedoms?
