Recently I read a lot of articles about dreams, listened to a lot of stories about dreams, I feel that everyone has the same confusion: “Why their dreams can’t become the reality, unable to achieve.”

If the dream is like a skyscraper, and the end is on the 101st floor, I combed through a few things why you can't get there:

1. Some people don’t know which levels their dreams at

2. Some people know which level their dreams at but they were attracted by the scenery of other levels.

3. Some people have a clear direction to their dreams but don’t know how to get to the 101st floor.

4. Some people choose to take the stairs, but when they reached the 6th floor, they feel tired, give up after thinking of there are 95 floors left to go.

5. Some people choose to take the elevator, but because of the elevator failure, have to stay on the 100th floor.

Of course, there are many other possibilities, and I'm just listing a few unsuccessful situations.

For the first and second cases, the essence of the problem is that people often don't really know what they want. The understanding of dreams may be more expressive with the flow.

When people picked up their pens, knocked on the keyboard, and began to write, he thought that he also had a writer's dream, picked up a pen, but did not know what to write. When seeing successful people get to bed early and wake up early, he decided to get up early, but after waking up at 6, he doesn’t know what to do.

They always seem to have dreams, but none of them are achieved. In this case, you need to re-examine these dreams and carefully choose which ones you crave in your heart. Kazuo Inamori said, "Things that you don’t want wouldn’t come near to you." The dream that following the trend will not last long. The first day might look promising, the next day will be forgotten.

This whim of the dream is not a dream at all, they are the "Phantom of the Dream." The dream that belongs to you must have meaning to you, and there is no value in things that have no meaning. Like a novel, a character in a movie, once the character has fulfilled its mission, it loses its meaning and the value of reappearing.

Meaning is extremely important to the dream, and the dream that has no meaning for you, it will not be your desire.

But many people will ask, what if they don’t know what they want? There is no desire, what to do?

This kind of question is very difficult to answer because people are different, the same method, some people might find it quickly, but some people might never found it. But if you do this well, I believe that you will slowly find your inner desire-awareness.

What is awareness? The awareness I understand is that it is a way of self-understanding to interpret one's words and actions from the perspective of a bystander. You can only find what you crave inside if you learn about yourself slowly. Talk to yourself more and ask yourself more questions, but in the process, you cannot rush, start with taking note, record down what makes you feel excited and disgusted. Experiment for a while and see what's really going on with your own pounding stuff.

Sort it out, try to categorize it, and then find out 1-3 kinds that make you most heartwarming, and think about what they mean to you, which will determine what kind of person you will be in the future.

For the third case, the essence of the problem is that they don't know the difference between a dream and a goal. Dreams are an illusory, abstract concept, with people infinitely beautiful yearning.

But our brain can not take effective action on abstract concepts, only by having a clear command of the task to take action, having only the meaning of the dream will not help you to achieve your dream, only when the dream is dismantled into a specific goal, so that you can set up a ladder leading to the door of dream.

For the fourth case, the essence of the problem is that it is not clear about the difference between the goal and the action. Many people want to see a quick result after achieving their goals, but Rome is not built in a day, some goals cannot be completed immediately, the achievement of the goal is also required a lot of steps.

When you climbed the 6th floor in one gulp and wanted to climb again, you will found that the time to reach the 6th floor could not reach the next 6 floors, and then there would be feelings of disappointment and frustration. This is because you don't understand that the completion of the goal itself takes time, and the difficulty coefficient is gradually increasing, it is easy to get to the 6th floor in one breath because it is the first step.

Understanding steps, goals, and dreams are not the same so that you have a correct mentality. In terms of the time, if the steps can be completed in 1-2 days, then the goal may be 1 month or even 1 year, then if the dream is longer, it may take more than 3 years.

When you stay on the 6th floor, as in the fourth case, and when you want to give up, you need to figure out whether the next step is it a dream, a goal, or a step.

For the fifth case, the essence of the problem is to believe in one way. When elevators don't work, they want to give up without thinking about other ways. Many times people get caught up in their own mental biases and directly block out people or things that help their dreams.

Relieve your own thinking bias, don’t think of closed-door can complete the dream, you should listen more, see more and think more, to help achieve your dreams.
