Countries on steemit
When we look at the physical world, we have the
- countries
- states
- local areas/regions
in that particular order. This applies to the Steemit world too
In the physical world, you have to be a citizen of a country, you can hold dual citizenship or multiple as the case maybe but you just have to belong somewhere. You are either an Irish, English, German, or Nigerian etc or multiple countries. Your nationality can be either by birth or naturalization. Being a citizen of this countries will make you work towards the common goal of the country. The countries too will also give back in form of providing social amenities, security and so on.
Some countries are stronger, more advanced than others as they are categorized into Developed, Developing, and Underdeveloped

These applies to the Steemit world too, Steemit also have countries and they are referred to as communities. Being in a community on steemit is likened to you being a citizen of a country.
We have different communities here on steemit, we have the Philippines, Nigerians, Turkish, Indonesians, Americans, French, Americans, British, Chinese, German etc communities here on steemit. The country you came from is your main community or community by birth in the steemit world.
This communities are in charge of providing you the basics of the blockchain and the steemit website, that is they are giving back to you while in turn you spread the community word by providing good and quality posts, bringing other influential beings of the steemit world to your community.

You can however naturalize or hold multiple citizenship. There are numerous communities you can join in the Steemit world. Each communities have their requirements, it is left for you to meet them. Some communities are free to join why some are paid, some require you use their tag, join their curation trail. Meeting all this requirements makes you have multiple citizenship. Joining the right community coupled with interaction is a crucial stage in your success on steemit.
Just as in the real world that locals in underdeveloped, developing countries seek greener pastures in the developed countries same applies here, you can move to other better communities. The beauty of it is that the rules are not stringent, most conform with the basic steemit rules.
We have the USA of the communities as well as the Chinese and Nigeria of the communities. Irrespective of the community you are either by birth or by naturalization, you should endeavour to be an outstanding citizen of that community. This is the only way the steemit world can notice you and the only way you can get the most out of the community you belong to.
Each community have there discussion location which can be compared to each country location on the world map. This communities location can be either on Whatsapp, Telegram or Discord.

@qurator and @sndbox are examples of countries you can join by naturalizing provided you meet their requirements.
