WE LEARN BY LISTENING
It is claimed that we learn by listening. Therefore more effort should be put into helping our people to listen.
Most people only remember about 20% of what they hear overtime.
Listeners are distracted, forgetful and pre-occupied 75% of the time.
Most people won't listen to what you are saying unless they already feel that you have listened to them. "You can win more friends with your ears than with your mouth.."
JESUS CHRIST MADE DISCIPLES BY LISTENING.
It was for this reason Jesus Christ kept his circle of close followers to 12. Their lessons were interactive; they were able to ask him questions.
His first miracle in cana wedding was in response to a request by Mary. "They have no wine".
The feeding of the 5000 was instigated by suggestion by one of the disciples to "send the people away to fend for themselves". (Matthew 14:15)
Jesus Christ revealed the wrong attitude to ministry lurking within them when they demanded fire be called down from heaven to consume the unfriendly Samaritans. (Luke 9:54)
To the question, "What will be the signs of your coming?" (Matthew 24:3) Jesus revealed the signs of the endtime.
All the time we see jesus Christ interacting with his disciples. That's why they grew so tall. They felt part of the ministry. They were carried along.
Yes, I agree with the title. We have to listen to other people with care. It is the best way to learn. We can apply it anywhere such as institute, family, society. Earl Nightingale's word definitely influences and give us sprint us. Thanks for sharing.
