On 13th January Lithuania remembers the day when in 1991 Soviet Army attacked unarmed, singing crowds of people crushing people under tanks, shooting at them in order to preserve a crumbling Soviet empire of terror and deceipt. On this day a forget-me-not flower reminds us of those who sacrificed their lives for freedom to be an independent country once again.
That's why if you end up in Lithuania sometime around 13th January you might see flowers 'planted' in the snow.
