UEFA Champions League Quarter Final Draw - Results!
Today was the day chief executives and club ambassadors of the remaining teams in the competition all got together to watch legendary Brazil, Inter Milan and QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar pull a bunch of balls out of a glass bowl. And what a fine job he did! Here is the draw and it is great news for Liverpool!
Ajax Vs Juventus
Porto Vs Liverpool
Tottenham Vs Manchester City
Manchester United Vs Barcelona
Liverpool were drawn against FC Porto, considered the weakest of the remaining teams left in the competition and a side Liverpool faced on the way to last seasons final comfortably beating them 5-0.
The draw was also made for the Semi-final stages and that saw the winners of Ajax Vs Juventus take on the winner of Tottenham Vs Manchester City meaning should Liverpool dispatch Porto they will meet either Manchester United or Barca in the semi-final stage. Both mouthwatering prospects!
Porto is a good side and has proven that by getting to this stage but there is no doubt this is the most favourable opponent for Liverpool giving them the best chance to advance through as they look to go one better than they did last season and lift the trophy for the 6th time.
Barcelona will win
Against Manchester United or do you mean the entire competition?
They are leading the way in Spain but have not looked brilliant the few games I have seen them play this season. I think it is 50/50 who will win between them and United. I am rooting more for Barca though as I would love to watch Messi at Anfield and it would be great to see Suarez in action once more.
