Long exposure

In long exposure, the light is captured by the sensor over a long period of time. All movements become soft when they repeat themselves or they disappear altogether, for example when a person walks through the picture. Images with water in the motif have a very special charisma and invite you to dream.

The process

For me it's the moments of relaxation when the picture is taken. First, search for a subject, set the focus, do the test image without a filter, then mount the filter and calculate the time. And finally the moment of triggering: the screen goes black, the timer starts to count and all tension dissipates. After a short processing and storage in the camera then the finished image appears on the monitor. Sometimes it is too light or too dark, then it is simply exposed again and the time adjusted accordingly.

Apps for everything

Good that there is an app that can be set to any exposure time and filters used and then displays the correct exposure time. In the previous article I had played with different aperture values, here are all pictures taken with aperture 13. This makes the images sharp and realistic as possible from the foreground to the background. I hope you enjoy viewing the pictures in full resolution!

Langzeitbelichtung

Bei der Langzeitbelichtung wird das Licht über einen längeren Zeitraum mit dem Sensor eingefangen. Alle Bewegungen werden dadurch weich wenn sie sich wiederholen oder sie verschwinden ganz, zum Beispiel wenn eine Person durchs Bild geht. Bilder mit Wasser im Motiv haben darurch eine ganz besondere Ausstrahlung und laden zum Träumen ein.

Der Prozess

Für mich sind es die Momente der Entspannung wenn das Bild aufgenommen wird. Zuerst ein Motiv suchen, Fokus einstellen, Testbild ohne Filter machen, dann Filter montieren und Zeit berechnen. Und schließlich der Moment des Auslösens: Der Bildschirm wird schwarz, der Timer beginnt zu zählen und alle Anspannung löst sich auf. Nach einer kurzen Bearbeitung und Speicherung in der Kamera erscheint dann das fertige Bild auf dem Monitor. Manchmal ist es zu hell oder zu dunkel, dann wird einfach nochmal belichtet und die Zeit entsprechend angepasst.

Apps für alles

Gut dass es dafür eine App gibt die auf jede Belichtungszeit und verwendete Filter eingestellt werden kann und dann die richtige Belichtungszeit anzeigt. Im vorigen Artikel hatte ich mit verschiednen Blendenwerten gespielt, hier nun sind alle Bilder mit Blende 13 aufgenommen. Dadurch sind die Bilder von vorne bis hinten scharf und so realistisch wie möglich dargestellt. Ich wünsche viel Freude beim Betrachten der Bilder in voller Auflösung!
