Yes there are. And even more, everyone should be happy without a partner.

You are the one who should make you happy, you are the only one responsible for your happiness.

Putting the responsibility of your happiness on someone else’s shoulders, puts too much pressure on that person, and on the relationship.

Love yourself, and you can be happy without a partner. And once you are happy and love yourself, you, your partner and your relationship will bloom beyond imagination, because they are no longer based on needing something from the other one.

Be careful, I didn’t say that when you love yourself, and are in a relationship that is not based on a need, you will not grieve when the relationship ends, no matter what way it ends. But then you grieve for the loss of a loved one, not for the loss of your happiness.

There are many things you can do to have more self-love. For instance: always use nice and positive words when you are talking about yourself. Or make sure your kitchen is always clean, the place you eat is always clean, and your bed is made each morning. Show respect to yourself, to what you do, and to what you own. And there are many many more things you can do! A good place to start: Coaches In The City - Self-love: 21 different things to do to love yourself more
