Can we live without Sex

Living totally without sex is strange for some people, although there are many people in the world who don't like sex but still have it at least once in the month or even in the year. When we are so preoccupied about having sex. We just keep craving it the whole day, week, month. We dont focus on other important things, but thinking about it. That way we cant be happy at all, but feel stressed and miserable, because we keep feeling the frustration of wanting something that we can’t have. Once we have it, we start looking for an another source of happiness. A different kind of pleasure, because happiness is from inside and not related to anything external.

The most religious communities believe that sex is a sin. Therefore, children who are born within this doctrine and environment are much more likely to be happy without the need for sex. But it doenst mean that they never think about it. Whatever is forbidden is always wanted. The desire for sex brings people out of their shells and forces them to find strategies to successfully attract and maintain sexual contact with those they find attractive. For most people, being with the opposite sex simply lets them conform to society’s expectations and provides them with a sense of stability.

Why sex is necessary in life:

• It burns calories
• Increases immunity
• Reduces stress
• Relieves pain
• It helps in balancing the hormones
• It helps us sleep better

But life without love and sex isn’t meaningless and empty. There are many people living alone, enjoying every moment in their life without being needy. Now a days the internet is overloaded with sexual content, our movies and advertisements. Sexuality became a tool to attract people and make money. Teenagers and and even old people became obsessed and the most of them cant even have a real relation out of their room and "laptop". Lack of sex became a big problem for them and they lost confidence. There are others who decided to live a spiritual life and reconnect with the source or the Divine. Feel an intense feeling of ever increasing bliss that makes sex seem totally insignificant and unsatisfying.

As much as women love being around other women, being around men is even more exciting because it forces us to act, think and feel differently. Interacting with the opposite sex provides us with a valuable outside perspective on ourselves and our life. Sexual intercourse and intimacy carry a variety of meanings for individuals. The majority of people believe that sex plays a huge role not only to their physical lives, as well as in their overall happiness. But we definitely don’t need somebody by our side to live a meaningful life.
