Love in air

It seems to happen at least once a week. I think about falling in love, the last love, and who might be next. Too often, the rabbit hole leads to thoughts of death. What will my last days look like and who will be there? Having Brazilian parents, working for an American company, and playing sports with mixed nationality leads to awesome discussions. Often times my perspective, my worldview, and understanding of a topic is challenged. Challenged, altered, or expressed and rarely is it not brought up in some way. Like many topics, love is often expressed and felt differently in every culture. Even saying the word has a cultural impression.

Often I find people don't give it enough value or understand it.

I see it demonstrated in a way that I find shallow for lack of better words. For those who haven’t been loved first. Do they understand what it means to be loved? Not love like those with parents who experience unconditional love and those children only understand the feeling after having their own child. Not the resentment type of love that comes from never being accepted and surviving. The type of love that doesn't alert. That stands the test of time. That is as consistent as some parents. That is faithful beyond death. That is so evident that it pours out of you without words, like a glory.

I wonder how many people love like the wind.

Without direction or sense of purpose. Like Romeo, often changing directions depending on which way the wind blows. Only moving with a purpose when the temperature forms a destructive storm. How often do people without religion, without faith, and without belief in God love like most Christians understand Jesus to love the world? How would you describe love?
