How I'm raising money for a local charitable organization by making fun of terrible lyrics
About a year ago, I created an Instagram account called @ lyricalbrilliance. The profile was created as a way to make fun of some of the terrible music that has defined popular culture. It's been a lot of fun creating the content for Instagram; however, I recently had an idea of how I could take some of the terrible lyrics that flood our Spotify and Apple Music accounts and turn them into something positive.
This video explains my idea:
A lot of people have been supporting the cause, and local media has taken an interest in my project.
I will also be interviewed by CBC radio this coming week! (I'll plan to post the audio version of the interview after it airs Tuesday morning.)
For any Okanagan Steemians, let me know if you want to purchase a mug to support a good cause (I'm not shipping them at this point).
And for any Instagram users, make sure to go and follow @ lyricalbrilliance.
Great idea, my friend and you are doing a truly noble cause! Thank you @wadepaterson
