Gecko in the Residence

in #macro5 years ago (edited)

Greetings all. I know, my posts have not been as frequent as of late. Priority has been in quality time with family. Living abroad means family time is limited to just once a year, and it's the most precious thing to me. However, I have found some time to snap some shots when opportunity knocked.

This morning it knocked or rather, crawled its way into my parents' home in the shape of what I believe was an adorable little gecko. When we found him inside, he was so white (either terrified or trying to blend in with the tile floor). My second encounter in a few days. Once safely placed outside, he stayed put for at least an hour, gained his composure and made his way back into familiar territory.

See how light he is? His breathing was heavy at first, but his color returned; he chilled out a bit once he realized I had come in peace. Go in peace little one.

All of these were shot with my canon rebel xs 60mm macro lens

As always, thank you all for stopping by.
