MakeMeSmile Week 17 Announcement Post / MakeMeSmile 第十七期开始了 - Freewrite MakeMeSmile
Another Freewrite MakeMeSmile 2 in 1 this week. I am participating in the Selfie Freewrite Contest. This contest runs for 50 days and today we are on Day 26 with depression as our contest. At first glance you may find it weird how can MakeMeSmile related to depression.
Well, to tell you the truth, MakeMeSmile is related to depression. All this happened two years ago back in 2016. I first started MakeMeSmile in Tsu. Yes, after my first and only meltdown.
I am blessed with many many friends. And the magical thing is most of us never met each other before. We meet online, become friends and care for each other. Even though Tsu doesn't exist anymore but most of us continue connecting through other platforms. And Steemit is our magical playground now. Which we continue to build new friendship and family.
MakeMeSmile is to spread SMILE, JOY and LOVE. Depression can sneak up to anyone. And this someone can be someone we know, we love. We may not aware. MakeMeSmile is about looking into the small things around us which make us smile and be grateful.
Being grateful, we filled ourselves with positive energy. Positive energy will chase the negative away. Sometimes when we are down and aren't able to charge positively, by reading and seeing positive posts, indirectly we can be inspired too!
I am really happy to be able to restart MakeMeSmile here in Steemit and continue into Week 17 now! Couldn't have done this without all of you. If you have read so far, would highly appreciate a resteem from you to spread this further! Thank you! With love and hugs!

Ya, I know... This selfie is totally the opposite from all photos above. Sad, depressed is a true feeling. We don't have to hide it. It's still us. Share with close friends how we feel. We will find ways and strength to grow stronger!

Hi @elizacheng, I just lighted a candle for you to dispel the negative energy around you, whatever that is making you sad and depressed. Been there, done that.
I was actually feeling a little low myself this afternoon and decided to write but don't know what to write. Then my cat Princess jumped on my table and I managed to catch the shot and wrote the shortest post on steemit at https://steemit.com/caturday/@patlu/my-cat-says-17-it-s-caturday -- and that made me smile and I hope it will make you smile too!
