Different Types of Malware - Oligo-, Poly- and Metamorphic Viruses [Theory]

One of the focal points of this video is the difference between unencrypted and encrypted viruses and how anti-virus software are being able to recognize them. For example, for unecrypted viruses, the anti-virus creates a signature from within the virus body, while for the encrypted types, the AV creates a signature from within the decrypter part of the virus.

As we all know viruses are unwanted programs running in an unwanted places. They are mostly called malwares in computer term. I know quite a few like Trojan, time bomb, Alabama etc. All these are basic viruses we know . This is a further classification, I haven’t heard about these classifications till today . A metamorphic virus is considered the most infectious computer virus, and it can do serious damage to a system if it isn't detected quickly. It is not easily detected by antivirus scanners because it can rewrite and reprogramme itself.
I just got this knowledge. It seems different from those that have been bothering me for some time. Hope it never comes near my system.
