Day 5
It is not too late to start!! Join in any time!! And even if you don't think you can get the 50,000 words in - join anyway!
If you don't know what March Madness is - don't worry, just start writing!!
This is what we are doing - we are writing a novel in one month. A daily prompt is guiding you along - but - here is the big secret - if you don't want to use it, no worries.
You can either post what you wrote or not.
See, we have lots of rules!!! Like none.
But wait - there is one rule. Soon, we are going to post a sheet where you can record your word count for the day. The goal is 50,000 by the end of the month. That is roughly 1600 per day. If you want to win - you have to submit the word count. If you don't care about the sweet, sweet SBI, just write and that is it.

I got around 600 words of 'official' sit-down writing done today, plus loads of random scraps of information scribbled on my notebook, typed into my phone, hastily recorded on my laptop whenever I got a chance to open it ... the brainstorming phase is in full swing and I love it. 😍

I had very little time to write today so only managed 372 words, but I'm happy with what I wrote and can feel a new buzz with the story. I didn't get today's prompt in, but I think it will show up tomorrow. I can see Doris driving a minivan. Maybe to Land's End in Cornwall. Maybe somewhere else. Maybe with her friend, Deirdre. Maybe not.
I don't know yet. That's part of the fun though, isn't it? :D
