A Growing Need For 420-Friendly Hotels

in #market6 years ago

As cannabis legalization continues to be implemented around the U.S. and elsewhere in the world, there is a growing cannabis tourism market and that includes a growing need for cannabis-friendly hotel venues or bed and breakfasts etc.

For the various hotels, motels, airbnb locations, and other venues for rent, that are in places where cannabis has been legalized, many of them restrict visitors from being able to smoke cannabis on the premises. If you get caught smoking it could come with a hefty fine.

This leaves a growing demand for a venue that will cater to cannabis users an provide them with an environment where they can peacefully consume their medicine without any worry.

To address this need, some cannabis-friendly venues have already sprung up but it's expected that we will see more come around in the years to come as the legalization wave continues. Some of the cannabis-friendly venues are offering a variety of cannabis-themed adventures, tours, information welcome packages, and more.

In Boston, there are now a growing number of cannabis-friendly rental property opportunities that are willing to cater to the cannabis visitors and help them consume cannabis in peace.

And more similar cannabis-friendly lodging opportunities are expected to be coming to areas like Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and other regions.

One bud and breakfast owner, Morgan Night, believes that cannabis shouldn't be stigmatized and that people shouldn't have to sneak around to try and consume their cannabis products.

He's been working to address this need by catering to the cannabis-friendly tourist market, he currently manages 2 different 420-friendly venues and admits that business has never been better for him. Also, he admits that he wasn't particularly looking to fill any specific market need with his business, but he admits he thought his business should reflect his views and that includes endorsing visitors to use cannabis on the property.

With many big hotel chains offering a blanket ban on smoking this presents an opportunity for other tourist venues to get involved in trying to capture some of the cannabis market. These extended rental opportunities or 420-friendly vacation spots etc would also be a great opportunity for dispensaries and other cannabis businesses to team up with, because it's a great way for them to market their products to the many visitors who are coming to town.

I didn’t even realize that this would end up being a problem until reading your post title! Seems like more ways to make money off the weed economy!

As long as I have the option to still get a non-smoking room, I don't care what people smoke down the hall. If I can't get such a room, my radical solution is to seek lodging elsewhere.

That is a great business idea it’s genius!

This is an awesome idea @doitvoluntarily ! I dont smoke weed anymore but my boyfriend does and so does my 2 sons. I will be using it though medicinally for my arthritis. It would be great to not have go walking off around the parking lot or down the road to smoke a joint and just evening together. I say why not! If the rooms are specifically for that so it doesnt bother anyone else. Just like there are pet rooms if you have cats or dogs. Upped earlier now resteemed!👍✌🚬🚬🚬
What a cool name Bud And Breakfast! I love it!

My apartment building in canada is banning it, even though cigarettes are not banned, I wish North America had Amsterdam style Coffee shops. Weed is legal here but unless you have a house there is nowhere to smoke it, it's crazy

Marijuana and various additives are not good for the body
It is completely banned in our country

Which country do you come from? Also do you think that cannabis is bad for people who have seizures if they don’t administer it in some way?

Bangladesh..

Legality does not define morality, and while I have not seen any evidence for benefits from tobacco, marijuana does indeed help many people whether governments acknowledge it or not. Furthermore, why is your assertion rooted in the absurd premise that governments have such a superior claim to individual lives that they can dictate what people are "allowed" to consume? Vices are not crimes, and laws against vices violate self-ownership in a blatant usurpation of authority.

don't just believe what your government tells you about cannabis. In your country, alcohol and cigarettes are perfectly legal etc... it isn't about authorities caring for your health or safety.. ✌

The truth is that the legality or benefit of cannabis here is not the central issue, but although it is legal, there are many hotels that do not allow the use of cannabis, which does not make much sense. While it is true that there are cases in which cannabis helps health, there are also others that harm it, the truth will not question the decision of the state to legalize cannabis, just say it is a decision of each person, whether or not he wants to hurt himself, not because cannabis is totally harmful, but at some point it will not be enough and tolerance will occur in the person, and he will need something stronger. But each person's decision if he harms or takes care of himself. :)

marijuana is very delicious to consume,
but in my country Indonesia, marijuana is strictly prohibited.
in my area aceh, is a place where marijuana grows very well and has recognized that the best quality in the world.

we admit that there are instant benefits we get from marijuana, such as reasons for treatment,
but for consumption for a long time will endanger the neural network in the brain.
thank you @doitvoluntarily for sharing.
i hope your support for me
greetings @longberry

Hey... We grow the best in the world. And would love for you to come join the Cannabis community and have friends that are activists for Cannabis. We not only have @kind.network but also @canna-curate here helping the Cannabis community.

We can't support you breaking the law and advise against posting evidence of any crimes as any arrest for growing a plant is senseless.

But would love for you to come join the Cannabis community and network with activists and maybe we can help you get medical patients the right to use a natural medicine...

If the hotel says that cannabis use is not allowed I think you have to respect the rules, if the person knows that he has to consume cannabis for health reasons it is better to stay in another hotel and thus be prevented from having problems and be fined
