The Disruptive Effect of the Fed on the Dow/Gold Ratio.

in #market5 years ago

In this report, I cover the early market action from London on Friday, October 12th, 2018. I look closely at the precious metals, the stock market, the dollar, the bond market, and the oil price.

Today I look closely at the Dow/Gold ratio and the effect the Federal Reserve System has had on it and what this ratio measures and represents. I not only look at it in the long term but also in the short term and how it looks to have topped just above the 22 level.

Historically when that ratio near a 1 to 1 level it means that the financial system and credit markets have been reset and should be ready to grow again.

My conclusion is that we could be moving to see this ratio move back lower and that would signify a relative move higher by the gold price in relation to the Dow Jones Industrial Average.

Good morning mario, yes the banks are bigger than the governments, have a great weekend my friend i will leave this comment with this well known quote most of us know?
“Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The Bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create deposits, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take it away from them, and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of Bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create deposits.”
~ Sir Josiah Stamp

Am I right in saying that silver can lag behind gold but eventually will catch up? Cheers mike

Hi Mike, Yes I would say so.

Nice one cheers

Very wonderful explanation about the market really you are a wonderful investor and successful, my friend

Gold is looking pretty good now after yesterday's rally. Positioning suggests a big squeeze! My full analysis is here if you're interested on the technical view. had a look at the miners here as well.
