The Gold Market

The heaviest four days of the week have passed and now Friday is announcing our weekend.

Another nice part of our presence here in Steemit is that we have acquired new habits imposed by different challenges. Every day, we choose a color day in #colorchallenge, Wednesday we go for a walk with #WednesdayWalk, Friday to the market with #MarketFriday, Sunday be #beautifulsunday and #sublimesunday. If we have stranger passions, we can even post photos from cemeteries in #Cemeteryphotos.

Now, more recently, we can post about ourselves: memories, passions and others on Saturday #sam-saturday. In conclusion, time to have ... as subjects are a lot.

It's been almost three weeks since I finished my vacation in Thassos and I have not finished the presentation of those seen there. Today will be the third post in the #marketfriday series in Thassos.

Gold and other precious materials on the seashore.

In the small town where we spend the summer holidays, Limenaria of Thassos Island, there is a jewelery factory and, of course, a great showroom called Iris Gold.

The shop is located on a hill near the beach and has a wonderful view. I have found a short movie about ten years ago where you can better see the position of this store.

In the ten years that have passed since the movie was made, things have changed, as you will see in the following pictures.

Now comes the most beautiful part, the side from the sea. There is also a terrace where you can have a drink of fresh fruit juice, a refreshing beer or a coffee.

Now it's time to get to the store.

Unfortunately, I had to take some photos with the hidden camera, so their quality is from weak to very poor. I apologize! The store had a very sophisticated and modern security system so I imagined that taking pictures might seem suspicious. Now I realize that I did not ask if I can take pictures ... it may not have been forbidden.

The guard was very alert and suspicious, and immediately discouraged you from having any dangerous thoughts.

These are the few photos I've been able to make.

That's how I could photograph. I can confirm that I have seen a lot of great jewelry. I'm not too attracted to gold so I loved silver jewelry with amber. I got out of there pretty good, I bought only a silver cross with granat.

I went out again in the yard of the store. There I was busy trying to photograph some butterflies that resemble humming birds.

However, the surrounding landscape is more attractive and you cannot take your eyes off it.

One last drink and then we had to leave.

It was a nice visit to a special store. However, it was too much for our pockets. Next year we will have to be better prepared.
