Live, Laugh, Lego // Belanja Mainan Yuk

in #marketfriday6 years ago (edited)

Hi,

Let me take you to another shopping time during our vacation in Nashville, since today is #marketfriday :) A gathering day by @dswigle for those who would like to share awesome finding of shops and markets around the world.

What is a vacation without shop til you drop moments, right?

No one knows better than my 2 spoiled brats. Seems like no matter where we go, they could always spot a Lego (store).

Hai!

Yep, today I am sharing you some pictures we took at a Lego store located inside Opry Mills, a pretty big shopping center in Nashville.

My boys's dream is to stay at one of Lego Hotels someday, and whenever they spot a Lego store, they always wished it would be more than just a store, where there would be awesome chair made of Lego, or a photobooth of some sorts, made of Lego, anything that would be life-size, where one can find at a Lego Hotel, but so far nope. From Alberta, to BC, to Tennessee, all the Lego stores are just that, stores. They only have a bunch of Lego built to showcase and whatnot, but they still enjoyed every shopping time, of course lol

Anak-anakku, sangat suka banget sama mainan Lego. Koleksi mereka banyak banget dan su-er deh, bener-bener bikin bangkrut, soalnya satu kotak meski isinya cuman satu figurin, wadao, harganya menjulang banget.

At the Nashville's Lego store, my 8 yo who really likes everything space, planets, shuttle, astronaut, etc, found 2 Lego space ships on display, one was regular while the other one was from Batman, but too bad, neither was available! The store was out of stock, he was pretty sad, especially since his baby brother grabbed 2 differ Lego that he liked.

Nah, si sulung tuh kan hobinya segala hal yang berbau antariksa gitu, planet nah, astronot lah, pokoknya yang ke bulan gitu deh :P Demi melihat di toko ini ada 2 lego berbentuk pesawat angkasa luar, meski satunya lagi pesawatnya Batman wkwkw, dia minta dibeliin salah satu, namun ternyata stok habis di toko. Kecian deh. Apalagi dia lihat adiknya nemu 2 Lego yang berbeda yang si adik inginkan hahaha

So then my 8 yo was hoping he could get a Millenium Falcon, from Star Wars, instead HAHAHAHAHAH NOT gonna happen. That thing was not just huge in size, but would also make a huge hole on our pocket, like holy crap expensive. The price was the same air ticket from Vancouver to Tokyo, holy moly!

Jadi terus dia tanpa berputus asa, minta pesawat ala Star Wars (tau kan?), pesawat Millenium Falcon. Wadaoooo harganya bikin jatungan hahahahha Emang sih ukurannya besar, namuuuunnn kalau beli, bakalan bikin lobang di kantung juga besar. Bayangkan aja, seharga tiket Kanada-Jepang! Mendekati $1000!

So in the end, he grabbed a couple of Lego keychains, which sadly, once we returned to Canada, we couldn't and still cannot locate these keychains at all :(

When school started last week, he was so excited thinking he would have them attached to the zipper of his bag pack, but nope. We don't know where and how we lost those keychains. So weird.

While at the store, one of Lego that caught my eye was this!

Voltron!

They were a hit back in early 80s. Pretty cool to see it made of Lego :)

I would love to get one of these, but yeah, I like food better than Lego, such price is just a waste for me, am cheap lol

Voltron bo!

My kids love the lego displays XD The two big ones are not as into lego anymore sadly. Oldest had a bunch of pretty cool Technics kits that are just sitting there now, I've told him if he doesn't start using them again when we move house I'm putting his lego tub in the communal area so his brother and whoever else who wants to use them can. I think it would probably get him building again as well to be honest, that stuff seems to work better when there's a bunch of them playing together. We don't have an excessive collection so it fits into a big tub :)

Love that first pose shot, it's awesome XD

I like getting them Lego, but often they misplaced some parts so when they want to rebuild them again, they cannot. so those older Lego would be abandoned until they get new ones, and repeat. le sigh -.-

My grandkids are crazy about legos too. Legos are taking over the world!!!

who doesnt like Lego, right? well parents, thats who, especially mothers. stepping on them can be quite painful hahaha

I have done that!!! and the Lego addiction can be quite expensive as well!!!

Hello Gene n Tony

I'm a bot. I detect haiku.

oooh look at you, making a poem, or haiku, is that a poem, haiku that is :P

Lego has always been expensive, even when my boys were small. You do have to admit though that they do have staying power. They have been around for 69 years, since 1949! There are Lego and the little brother block, Duplo still being passed around between children for almost as long.

yes for sure. my husband and I did grow up with Duplo and Lego, just wish my boys would take good care of theirs at least, but nope, not so much. i think i build (their) Lego more than themselves hahaha

What great fun these kids had! Didn't know that there were so many Lego Stores from here to Canada!

The only place that I saw life-sized Legos was when I lived in Europe and went to the Lego Park in Denmark. Super cool, to be sure!

The hotel in Florida and California are awesome, so I am told. I have never stayed at one and probably never will. LOL But, you can let us all know how it is!

I still have legos from when I was a kid! Those things never wear out, a good reason for the high price. They are passed down from generation to generation.

Thank you for putting together a wonderful post for #MarketFriday! Much appreciated~

Upped and Steemed

oh yeesss, even I would be so excited should we be able to stay at any of the Lego Hotels, someday
