Last Week Was Just A Taste Of The Coming Gold Short Squeeze
The gold paper market has a lot of bets that the price of the precious metal will head down.
This could be a problem as shown by the market action towards the end of last week. With the equities market getting hit, money flowed into gold. This forced the shorts into covering causing the price to run.
Situation like this end up creating an endless loop. When the price goes higher, the shorts are forced to buy, thus sending the price even higher.
