Medical Data Platform

Writing Contest sponsored by @originalworks

Currently, within the process of granting the patient a quality service, various data are manipulated that become the patient's record or medical history; which ends up being administered by the doctor or by the work team of the health center. When the patient changes doctor or simply goes to another hospital, looking for another type of care to improve the service, usually he must go back to do the whole process to have a medical history in that center. With the inadequate manipulation of such records, the security of the data and the transparency and credibility of the process are lost. In addition to this, there are certain rules that regulate the collection and control of these clinical data, helping to increase the problem for patients.

MediBloc is an experienced company in the field of data handling, consultation and storage, which is necessary in the research and diagnosis of each patient in a hospital. This care organization has taken on the task of undertaking a mission to amend all those errors that are committed when manipulating the data of a patient, looking for the solution to the problems faced by the user in the maintenance and handling of their medical records. MediBloc presents a revolutionary vision, in which, allows the patient to control their medical data and share said data with the parties that they decide to authorize. This means that each patient can go to any health center and request medical attention from any doctor, who deserves this diagnosis. You can grant the treating doctor permission to have access to your medical records, simplifying the process and ensuring that the new doctor safely manipulates a solid and true information.

MediBloc It was founded by two experienced professionals not only in the medical sciences, but also in engineering and computer science: Dr. Allen Wookyun Kho and Dr. Eunsol Lee. They are accompanied by an excellent team that interacts daily, and tirelessly, developing a medical data platform with its own chain of blocks, with which, in the short term, it is intended to place the control of clinical data under the management and manipulation of the same patient. These doctors-engineers have concluded that the blockchain technology is the perfect solution to end the problems currently presented by medical records.

The security of this data is supported by the chain of blocks, which effectively guarantees that patients' data are shared only with the affirmation of their permission. Therefore, the level of security is high with the use of blockchain technology.

MediBloc In addition to serving patients and users in general, it has also developed the launch of SDK v0.1 GitHub. MediBloc has two tokens: MED and MEDX, where with its own chain of blocks it optimizes its service to give effectiveness to the process and the user is always satisfied.

For MediBloc one of its objectives is to improve the EHR system, through the PHR system. The traditional EHR system, is increasingly dependent, presents high cost and lack of storage capacity due to its centralized feature, so it is losing its confidentiality and nullifies privacy; manages a very slow adaptability that wastes time. In addition, it is subject to strict privacy laws such as IPAA, which prevent the patient's control of their own data, obstructing the care of patients and the analysis of data.

MediBloc presents a system where each patient can have autonomous access and full control over their own data, and cover all health needs through blockchain technology. This medical organization works on the platform of the personal health record (PHR) decentralized in blockchain with an electronic application to register the personal medical data that the individual patient controls and can make available to health care providers. It gathers the patient data, dispersed by the various health centers, and making the system focus on the user through the introduction and use of PHR.

MediBloc the medical health data industry is changing: from being a simple data exchange platform to becoming a platform of mutual purpose, where the integration of data and the registry can be stored and updated at the same time and then recovered to its use or sale to research institutions. Another advantage is that it has an automatic insurance whenever it executes intelligent contracts or performs the exchange of medical data with the use of tokens. In addition, another of its services is the application used in smart phones, which offers: professional medical care advice, recommend treatment, prescribe diagnoses and predict the prognosis for users. Users can also link with the best and best doctors on the platform through MediBloc.

MediBloc It has levels of access, which are designed in such a way so that relatives and close relatives can make decisions on behalf of the owner of the data, if this can not be done, taking advantage of its flexibility feature and always contributing the due security of the data.

Sounds interesting but there is NOT a big demand for this kind of technology unless it is cheap like under $15 per month.

I am a medical professional. The problem with keeping medical records and exchanging patient information has never been an issue or patient's privacy.

There are many software that offer privacy and security already that cost about $15 per month to use with a cloud based server.

There are never hacks to get patient info but their payment method such as credit cards with date of birth is the ultimate prize for any hacker. Yes blockchain technology is more secure but this IS NOT even a concern in our industry.

ALL softwares have bugs in them. This you can NOT eliminate. Dealing with bugs is also time consuming.

The smart physicians do NOT depened on the computer or technology to secure or go about day-to-day activity in the clinic. Anytime our computer, network crashes or the server crashes, we lose countless hours and money!

I have learned from many of my colleagues and my own experience NOTHING beats paperfiles in a file cabinet. All old patients file are later scanned for storing. This is the most efficient and secure way of storing patients files! We are NOT dependent on another company for our runtime!

The entrepreneur is obviously young and has NOT been practicing medicine for a long time......

Thanks for your opinion
