Mushrooms! Good to eat on pizza and a trip to the moon.

Living in Colorado and watching the progression of law with regards to Medical and Recreational Marijuana has been interesting to say the least. There is now a new push in Colorado for deregulation of “Magic Mushrooms” as medical self treatment of PTSD and depression.

Major Medial University’s and Hospital reaserch centers such as Johns Hopkins are pushing for a path to legalizing mushrooms because there are perceived medical benefits. Even business executives and think tank groups in Silicon Valley are micro dosing mushrooms to gain different perspectives. Mushrooms have been around forever, some are even poisonous to humans. I can remember friends of mine who would grow these things in five gallon buckets full of chicken manure. It looks like it have come a long way since that time.

The experience is positively hypnagogic, allowing trippers to enter a dreamlike conscious state where time is distorted, color is amplified, and depth perception is warped. Euphoric, unbridled laughter is common, as are oddly introspective thoughts about existence and reality, and even synesthetic sensations, such as being able to “see” sounds. A trip can last four to six hours.

There can be negative effects as well, such as nausea, dizziness, paranoia, or panic attacks, but Todd doesn’t experience those. He still takes 10 milligrams of escitalopram, an antidepressant, and when the mushrooms wear off, 30 milligrams of the opioid oxycodone, but otherwise his prescription drug intake has drastically decreased.

I have never personally tried Magic Mushrooms and I doubt I would be very open to it for a normal dose but, it seems like the legalization would lead to more reaserch and possible serious benefits to ailments we don’t even know it can help with yet.

Agreed that micro dosing is great for depression. The health community needs to wake up.

Well if it will help some patients with their illnesses Sir @broncnutz it would be awesome but the big pharmas will fight it I think.
In my country the legalization of Marijuana is currently underway. I hope it does pass so that it can help patients like me with many sandwiched complications.

Mushrooms have some incredible uses in medical thanks for sharing

Shrooms are awesome lol. Very fun and you definitely walk away from the experience with a renewed outlook on life. Highly recommended, just be in a safe spot and have a preferably sober person with you.

They have found caveman paintings of these types of mushrooms so that means that humans have been using them for thousands of years. There is an interesting documentary about them on youtube from that VICE network show called Hamilton's Pharmacopeia.

The problem is not consuming mushrooms, the problem is in the frequency and doses... i have at least three good friends that are in good jobs that have consumed mushrooms once every few months, they like to do it because it opens their minds, and, since one of them is a software engineer and the other is a designer, it enables them to have a "different view" of the world... Also, they are great for depression. I have never tried them, but I'll surely do sooner or later, we only get 1 life, we should use it as best as we can by trying out almost everything... this is my opinion of course :P

Let's first get marijuana legalized around the world, in some countries there is death penalty for growing weed! After marijuana we can go for mushrooms, baby steps xD
