Free money
Just imagine that you are walking home and see a box of cash at an unattended booth with a sign saying 'Free money'. Would you take it?
The Brain Games crew at National Geographic Channel did an interesting experiment. They had a booth set up as I explained above and with hidden cameras, they have recorded how people reacted. Do you think they grabbed the money? What changes if there is someone at the booth wanting to convince you that you can take as much as you like? What if there is no person there but two huge eyes are staring at you from a poster? Look at this video to see their results:
Érdekes kísérlet volt. Nekem a reakciók egy része nem volt meglepő. Egyrészt nekem azt tanították, hogy semmi sincs ingyen, tehát én is keresném a beugratást vagy a csapdát a dologban. Csak simán elsétáltam volna a bódé mellett, gondolván, hogy ilyen nem létezik és biztos van benne valami csalafintaság, mint az ingyen termék, amit a bevásárlóközpontok üzletsorain a hostesek próbálnak ránksózni és 10 perc blabla után kiderül, hogy mégsincs ingyen.
