Those remaining 8 seconds of stoppage time took it away from the Japs and Belgium go through to the quarterfinals of the World Cup. That deft touch right at the end sealed it for Belgium. In a rarest of a rare case a team has emerged victorious after being 2 goals down to win a World Cup knockout tie since 1970. Well, Belgium defeats Japan 3-2 to qualify.
