The Sale

He was anxious, soon the buyer would arrive and the deal would have to be closed, there was no going back, the part paid as an advance had already been spent on food and medicines.

His anxiety was due to the fact that he could not wait for the moment to make the sale, in fact he was very happy. He had always wanted to help his sister in her illness, and now he was contributing a great amount of money for the cause.

A luxurious vehicle was parked in front of the humble plastic house, while inside they received a message from the receiver. The time had come to make the delivery.

The whole family received the anonymous buyer in the small room, he was a curious character, of medium height, he wore a funny moustache even whiter than his brilliant suit, he wore a top hat which he refused to take off when he entered the room.

After a few minutes of formal and uncomfortable conversation, the strange visitor decided it was time to leave. He gave Carlos a heavy, shiny gold ingot and made a gesture inviting him to close the deal.

With a smile on his face he gave the ingot to his sister.

– What I'm wearing is not part of the deal – Carlos pointed to the strange gentleman, who nodded.

He took off the clothes he was wearing, gave them to his father and left with the man with the moustache and the hat.

Intriguing story, @darthgexe! I think I've read it five times now, over a course of several days. I'm not quite sure what happens, or why he takes his clothes off. But it's interesting to see what you did with the prompt!

Thank you @Jayna, in a way I wanted to create that intrigue, leave some free interpretation. This is a dystopic place where the protagonist has sold himself as a slave and where everything he owns owes his parents so he goes naked, with nothing.

I don't know if approaching things that way was the right thing to do, but I had fun doing it that way.

Interesting place to live. This seems it could be the middle of a longer work. Nice writing.
