To Newbies at Steemit...Don't Give Up !! Stick Around :)

minnows.jpg

Well, I know Steemit has had a tough time with things like Retention Rate among new users. People come and ago like flies here especially when they see it's not easy money. Heck, a couple of weeks ago I even got frustrated myself with things and wrote a blog to vent a little.

But...

I implore some of you Newbies who think it's not worth it.. to just take a deep breath and hang around awhile and see where Steemit takes you.

Some Suggestions...

Definitely look at some Curating and Writing Groups here at Steemit to start making connections and building relationships with other people. This is key !!

@thealliance is one curation/writing group I applied to and got accepted about 4 months ago.

And I have made not just incredible connections but some awesome friends there that encourage and support one another. It's not easy to get accepted and they have a high standard. But if you are a decent writer and have a lot of motivation to succeed in producing Content..well it can be a great option to try out. No question.

Also joining Discord in general is something I highly recommend. And just start posting in the Forums there getting your name out while getting to know others. Plus, MSP ( Minnow Support Project ) is something every Minnow and new Steemian should join. They have successful and longtime members who will help you grow at the Discord forums. They actually care about Minnows and seeing them grow along with the platform. It's really a MUST to join. Go here ===> https://discordapp.com/invite/HYj4yvw

Conclusion...

By no means is Steemit a get rich quick business. And to be honest it probably is not for everyone. But if you do enjoy producing Content in the form of blogs and vlogs detailing things about you and your Life and passions... well Steemit could definitely be for you. But the only way to really find out is to at least give it a few months of some concerted effort.. and start getting to know Steemians here who do have some influence and success. Simply learn from them and start building a following by posting Content that is interesting and engaging. And join some of the groups mentioned.

Cheers,
Robert Andrew :)

It’s really hard for newbies to hang in there if they have been around alone all these while.

That’s why I always emphasize the importance of networking!

Nevertheless, appreciate this post buddy!! :)

Good post!

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a good Comment @darrylnyk :)

You said the point. I came to steemit to looking for a media to host my Blog. Kind of microblogging because i like to write, if I get money from it, it is nice bonus. That is what i think.

Later i discovered steepshot to show off my travel photos. I feel i come to the right place now 😊

Yeah , that is a good mindset you have @haristourist . Thanks for stopping by.

Such a great way to encourage smaller accounts to stick with this platform, the hardest struggle I feel is getting posts seen - any way you can find to push and promote your post is key - using the discord channel post promotions is the simplest but also joining in popular challenge tags where people tend to view posts using the tag is a good way to get more visibility.
