Finally
The sky looks clear this morning when the elf awakes
No more gray clouds above her head as she looks up
She could not hide the excitement on her face
As she looks around and gaze at the soft light
She took that long white cardboard box out
It had been sitting inside the drawer way too long
Probably one of her hauls she bought, back in April
A season older that had not seen the light of day
The box is rather dusty and crinkly now
It took the elf a few attempts to open it
But, she could not think of a better time
Or occasion to put the merchandise to good use
Finally, the long green dress was out of the box
She slowly unpack it and tried it on
She smiled and her eyes twinkled with delight
Finally oh finally she can now wear this green dress
