Mithril is a new decentralized social media platform that rewards all content creators. It does not utilize the STEEM blockchain. Instead, it's a token based on the ERC-20 standard established by Ethereum. Currently you can earn Mithril tokens by using an app called 'Lit'.

Lit allows you to share pictures and videos with your followers for a 24 hour time period. You earn Mithril tokens for your posts.

I joined Lit this morning. So far I have made a few posts and earned a little bit of Mithril. Currently the crypto-space is young and thriving. The leaders in blockchain-based social media might not even be upon us yet. It's best to diversify and try all the different options on the market. It will be fun to experiment with Lit and earn some crypto in the meantime. Right now 1 Mithril is a little over $1 USD. I hope to see you join! It would be nice to see some familiar name/faces on another platform.

Blockchain apps like STEEM & Mithril will continue to push the major social media giants to incorporate cryptocurrency into their business model.
