Found my old treasure box

I found my old treasure box recently. I used to collect coins when i was younger, coins from different countries i would collect and keep it in the box
My daughter helped me sorting out the coins
Unfortunately the coins are fiat currency that has lost value over the years
Savers are losers, that is fair to say in this case. Imagine if this was a man in his 40s trying to save money for his retirement, only to find the money would lose value 20 years later.
I still enjoy collecting coins, but now i prefer collecting silver and gold coins, and bitcoin that do not lose value like fiat coins.

Definitely if you collected Crypto like you did on fiat you could get a chance to take the lead against Bill gates today! Anyway, I also collected fiat at my young age! I will try to find that collection box!

Maybe some of this coins now have an interesting value because they're part of history of any economy, i share with you this words "I still enjoy collecting coins, but now i prefer collecting silver and gold coins, and bitcoin that do not lose value like fiat coins" . Regards
thank you dim753, yes many old coins already not in circulation, so some might have value for collectors, but if i was collection gold / silver when i was a child, this box would be worth a lot more
I love those old boxes where you stash old coins, stamps etc....it’s always a nice way to remember the past and you get surprised what you saved :-)

Yep! I am trying to sort out my old coins this week too!
Yesterday the gold price came down very low, I got a small gold bar! Hope this will be very beneficial in the near future.

thank you kaminchan, as i child i didn't know much about Gold/silver, so i was collecting currency that loses value all the time, after 20 years , the difference is a lot

thank you kevbot, some of the coins have rusted, some still looking good, it's over 20 years i think, but brings back good memories and a lesson from the past, do not save in Fiat

@djohan, You have massive collections of coins. It's wondering to see. But currently market is dropped like as cryptos. But collecting coins very interesting thing.
thank you madushanka, i like collecting different designs to keep it more fun, yes all markets are looking not too good, some green today in cryptos but still not much of a rebound from yesterday's big drop
Hello @djohan, I think that the coins do not have value now, but collectors can buy them after many more years. Currently there is a lot of talk about keeping silver coins, it seems that they are increasing their value, good to continue with the cryptocurrencies to see what happens .

thank you martha75, some of the coins are rusty now, and very small value, maybe have lost 90% of the currency value in the last 20 years, but good lesson to not save money in that form (fiat). The number written do not change, but the purchasing power have gone down a lot.
