VR Second Life on EOS and a look at a banknote that can buy one Bitcoin

Are you familiar with Second Life? It's a massive online virtual world, where people can create avatars to socialize, network with each other, explore the world and so on. Second Life had no real objective, other than having an online world, where people could be someone else or experience and do things they would not do in real life (debatable).

Second Life was meant for ages 16+, so adult content made it's way to the platform, money was introduced - Linden dollars, and the devs made a killing.

Now, the company behind Second Life, High Fidelity, is creating another world and this time they take no prisoners. Raising $35 million in an ICO to run the next-gen online virtual world on the EOS blockchain and in VR!

The latest round in the ICO was led by the ex-hedge fund manager and gazillionaire Mike Novogratz himself, throwing $20 mil at the devs to get them started.

A new token will be introduced for the virtual world, High Fidelity Coin and all transactions recorded on the blockchain. Why would you need transactions? It's all about pimping yourself for your fellow explorers - want to look cool? Buy designer clothes with EOS. Buy real estate. Run a business. I guess i have limited imagination, but definitely the creators will surprise us.

I missed out on the first gen of Second Life, but the next VR generation running on a blockchain has my spidey-senses tingling. Let's see what the devs can do. Waiting in anticipation.

Meet the Brunei $10 000 banknote

Yep, it's real. The Brunei $10 000 dollar banknote is the most valuable banknote in the world. Hassanal Bolkiah, the sultan of Brunei, is considered one of the richest men on Earth.

And so, if you somehow manage to get your hands on the Brunei $10000 banknote, most people would be at loss what to do with it. But not we, the cryptocrowds!

Because we head straight for the exchanges. Namely, you can almost 1:1 exchange the banknote in question for 1 Bitcoin :)

At the time of writing this post (note that i write this post a few days ago and BTC has dropped a measly 300 pts - still, close enough):

Glad we got that sorted! Now start looking for those Brunei $10K banknotes. I'm sure we all got some laying around :)

I've been debated getting a VR system for about a year. I know that if I can wait for hardware then the hardware I get then will be better. But that will always be true.

And on the other hand I really want one!

Haha, same here! I want one, but holding back for better and upgraded models. Guess all i have done is misssed out, huh?

Pretty much. And saved yourself some money to buy more STEEM

Interesting thing about Brunei currency, you can get that changed at par value if you take it to a bank in Singapore!

Whoa thats huge! Second Life on EOS blockchain. Videos games are a great way to get more people familiarized with the power of EOS.

Wow, very ambitious plan for this ICO, but I do think they can make it work. Looking forward to try Second Life app soon...
