Where's VICE - updates from the wild
Revisiting the fork of Steem blockchain - yes, the one we cannot wait to happen eventually. Vice Industry Token. While the mainnet was launched at the end of July, launching functional websites, where participants could use their VIT or, better yet, earn more VIT by interacting with content, has been delayed.
Sadly, or luckily, this has resulted in a steady VIT price decay on exchanges. Sadly for those, who put all their funds into VIT during the crowdsale, luckily for those, who are just now waking up and are obtaining more of the cheap VIT.
Buy the dip? If you've been buying the dips on all markets, you might not have any funds left in a global crypto bear market, but if you do, you can now get 5x more VIT for the same amount of dollas, than during the crowdsale.
Alas, a small investor, who might be interested in VIT, might be left in the dark. With the VICE witness Discord chatroom being abandoned completely and tumbleweeds tumbling around in the VIT Telegram groups, investors and people interested will have to dig up what they can by themselves.
Or perhaps the team doesn't want early birds to obtain a giant share and have big influence in the VIT network? If you can stand the audio, you can listen to the conference at the Qwebec Expo, where a piece of information is dropped, that the VIT team intends voting and rewards sharing to be more democratic than on the Steem blockchain. The section I am referring to is around the 23:30 mark, listen to it yourself (link below) and see what you pick up from it.
Nevertheless, there is something small at least going on behind the scenes - perhaps even something big, yet we, the investors, are not aware of it.
Namely, bonuses for crowdsale participants are being distributed. If you participated but haven't received yours yet - patience. I have got mine and it is announced that the bonus distribution will be done by August 12th.
New main websites: vicetoken.com has seen a nice update, yet it would be much more pleasing if we could get actual functionaly before cosmetic changes. Nevertheles, one has to acknowledge, the task of revolutionizing the adult content industry is herculean.
One more good thing I picked up - the Affiliates list on their updates website is growing steadily. Also, seems the team has pushed out a mainstream counterpart for vicetoken.com as well - visionindustry.com
UPDATE: According to the CEO, Stuart Duncan, we'll have something before August flies by with a whooshing sound.
So grab your thumbs and hold them hard. The tension is growing and we as investors can only wait for now.
