MAPX News: Update - 10 September 2019
As announced previously, the TULIP Mania Game has finished its first round, but the current market environment has presented some unexpected challenges.
Not, of course, unexpected is the need to turn assets into cash, but the rather sudden chill that is blowing through the token market, and the Steem economy, means that it is proving to be a much slower process than could be envisaged even just a week ago.
But progress is being made and profits are being disbursed to the TULIP game players. So what does all this have to do with MAPX? You may have thought I'd mixed up my articles and posted in the wrong program.
Well, it just means that all the MAP FinTech programs have had to work in unison so that cash can be directed towards TULIP, just as earlier this week MAPR needed some funding. Now, everything is conducted at market prices so no single program is losing any value, but it does mean that growth has been fairly static.
There have been some sales of MAPX tokens, which is a great relief, but nothing as yet to suggest this is the start of a trend. The truly positive aspect of the MAP FinTech family is the ability to keep our heads well above the waterline when so many tokens are drowning.
So, no new numbers today, but we remain just a few steps forward compared to the weekend. The lack of vibrant sales means that growth is largely organic due to in-coming rewards rather than due to an increase in tokens. Given that our SP remains significantly larger than our pool of active tokens, I hope members appreciate the relative progress compared to other programs.
