European Stocks Are Cheap.
With these starting valuations verse large US companies the upside in European stock is huge.
Price to Book (P/B) and Price to Sales (P/S) are great starting points to determine if companies are trading cheaply or very expensive. Today European stocks trade at P/B of 1.6 vs 3.4 for the SP 500.
Price to sales is also showing how cheap European stocks are today trading at 1.1 P/S. The U.S. market is trading at 2.2 right now.
When these extreme valuation differences occurred in the past, European stocks went many years outperforming the U.S. markets.
Now is a great time to gain exposure to the largest European companies. This is done simply with buying the ETF - SPDR EURO STOXX 50 Fund (FEZ).
