For this weeks post I am going with a couple of shots when there was low clouds in Manhattan.
I do love how low clouds can give such a cool moody feel to the city, this first shot was taken on the road in Tudor city that passes over 42nd Street and gives a nice view looking up 42ND.
I went there one morning with my tripod to try and get some long exposures and catch some light trails of the traffic passing by, I didn't have a lot of success with that but then some clouds moved in giving a foggy feel over the buildings which made for an OK shot to share for Monochrome Monday.

And in keeping with the low cloud theme, this was on another morning when there was low clouds and the top of the Chrysler building was hidden in the clouds..
When its cloudy and grey in the city I often don't generally take to many photos, but when I saw these two shots and thought to use them for this post it made me think, that perhaps I should take more shots on cloudy days it gives a cool moody feel to the city

I was looking for the bat Cigna’s but it must have been a quite morning and there was no sight of it

We have similar weather today. I spent 3 days at home fighting with the flu, it was frost and sun. And today I finally got out ... into a nasty cold wet fog. Got that "cool moody feel to the city" ))
We had real heavy fog yesterday but this morning it has cleared luckily for me its a nicer day

Nice pictures. It has to be a little spooky when you can't see the tops of the buildings like that. Probably even crazier for the people up in them that can't see down to the street.
