The award was presented last night in Santa Barbara, California, by friend and costar Joe Mazzello.

From a role as Andy in The Gilmore Girls television series, to roles in the Night At The Museum movies, Short Term 12, The Pacific television series, The Master, and more, and with a remarkable performance as Elliot Alderson in the televison series Mr Robot, and now a mind-blowing embodiment as Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody, Rami Malek is certainly deserving to be honored by the Santa Barbara International Film Festival as its 2019 Outstanding Performer of the Year!

Attending this tribute, I realized that I had seen him, and enjoyed his work, in so many other projects. I watched Short Term 12 after seeing a similar tribute to Bree Larsen, and Rami was great in it. I first noticed him in Mr Robot though. So good!
