Cubiro es un poblado ubicado a unos 57 Kms. al sur de Barquisimeto. Situado a 1570 metros sobre el nivel del mar, este hermoso pueblo de montaña cuenta con una agradable temperatura que oscila durante todo el año entre los 17°C y 20°C, que le permite posicionarse como un destino turístico por excelencia en el occidente venezolano.

Su privilegiada ubicación en la cordillera andina, aunado a las extraordinarias vistas panorámicas que posee, desde donde es posible divisar el fértil Valle de Quíbor, hacen de esta población una excelente opción para el disfrute en familia. Como dato curioso, cabe resaltar que los restos mortales del conquistador español Diego de Lozada, quien fundara la ciudad la ciudad de Caracas en 1567, se encontraría en una de las iglesias de la localidad, donde fue enterrado.

Esta fotografía la tomé un par de años atrás en la pintoresca entrada de la Posada El Pinar, en un viaje que realizara en compañía de mi pareja. Coincidencialmente, una banda barquisimetana de rock alternativo, llamada Crepúsculo 67 se encontraba filmando en exteriores, un videoclip promocional de su última producción discográfica que posteriormente subirían a su canal en YouTube. Sin embargo, solo se encontraban los integrantes de la banda y el camarógrafo, por lo que invitarían a mi compañera a participar en el rodaje, con el fin de incorporar el elemento femenino, ausente en las tomas anteriores.

La ciudad de Barquisimeto es conocida, entre otros atributos, por la belleza de sus atardeceres, de allí que fuese bautizada como la "ciudad crepuscular", así mismo, se le conoce como la "capital musical de Venezuela", por la cantidad de intérpretes de diversos géneros musicales que han nacido o hecho vida en la ciudad, donde no solo destacan los ejecutantes de música propia (criolla), local o nacional, sino también en la música académica, como es el caso de Gustavo Dudamel, actualmente director de la Orquesta Filarmónica de Los Ángeles; además de agrupaciones de rock y jazz. En relación a este último género, es oportuno mencionar que la ciudad fue sede hasta hace pocos años, del Festival Internacional de Jazz de Barquisimeto, donde virtuosos músicos de los Estados Unidos, Europa y América Latina, se daban cita durante una semana para deleitar con sus acordes al público de la ciudad y de quienes venían de otras partes del país, atraídos por el cartel de grandes estrellas que se presentaban en las diferentes salas.

La imagen tomada originalmente a color, la modificaría haciendo uso de los filtros y herramientas de edición que proporciona PicsArt, para lo cual empleé inicialmente un filtro del tipo HDR (High Dynamic Range) con la finalidad de ampliar los tonos de la fotografía original, y luego, un filtro sencillo de Blanco & Negro.

I took this picture a couple of years ago in the picturesque entrance of the Posada El Pinar, on a trip I took with my partner. However, only the members of the band and the cameraman were present, so they would invite my partner to participate in the shooting, in order to incorporate the female element, absent in the previous shots.

The city of Barquisimeto is known, among other attributes, for the beauty of its sunsets, hence it was baptized as the "twilight city", likewise, it is known as the "musical capital of Venezuela", because of the number of interpreters of different musical genres that have been born or made life in the city, where not only the performers of their own music (folk), local or national, but also in academic music, such as Gustavo Dudamel, stand out. currently director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra; in addition to rock and jazz groups. In relation to this last genre, it is worth mentioning that the city was the seat until a few years ago, of the Barquisimeto International Jazz Festival, where virtuous musicians from the United States, Europe and Latin America, gathered for a week to delight with their chords to the public of the city and those who came from other parts of the country, attracted by the poster of great stars that were presented in the different rooms.

The image originally taken in color, I would modify it using the filters and editing tools that PicsArt provides, for which I initially used a HDR (High Dynamic Range) filter in order to extend the tones of the original photograph, and then, a simple Black & White filter.
