Kyoto street series #15 - Tenryuji temple, Kyoto
The Tenryuji is a Buddhist temple located in Arashiyama, a neighborhood of Kyoto well known by the Bamboo Grove.
The temple has one of the most beautiful Zen gardens of Japan, as well as breathtaking views of the mountains. It was built in the mid century 14th and it's classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since last century.
I've visited the temple on Spring, so I could enjoy fully the blooming of the cheery trees all spread along the gardens and the lakes. Just fabulous!
I've taken this photo inside of one of the facilities of the temple, and capture this scene of a beautiful girl dressed with traditional clothes resting in the well known position of the geishas.
Settings: Canon 5D MkIII and Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 IF EX DG HSM Lens. Edited with Lightroom. Shutter speed 1/15 at f/9.0, 70mm, ISO 160.
