Last week, I bought some bananas at the Giant supermarket in Lorong 4 Toa Payoh. Not a big bunch but there are 5 bananas for $1.50. Taste quite good and I thought the price was good. 2 days ago, went back to buy. The bananas are there but the price tag is missing. Did someone remove the price tag to prevent people from buying? I choose my bunch and went to the cashier to do a price check. Without hesitation and without checking, she said $1.50. Great, and I pick the bunch with 6 bananas in it. Following day, I went to office for a job interview. The Cold Storage supermarket there was selling the same for $2.50 and Cold Storage and Giant belong to the same parent company. 😎

I must say that that happens here going to bed because even though they're owned by the same parent company, they cater to different clientele. Obviously the cold storage must be a more upscale store? or their clientele have more money. Either way oh, I'd be shopping at Giant.

Here it is usually about 50cents/pound
Things have become expensive over the years.
Banana prices can differ quite a bit.
Now, I even see 7-eleven and Starbucks selling individual banana here
Never bother to check the price of that because I don't plan on being ripped off for now.
