📷Monthly Author Challenge #11.07 Claypot Hokkien Noodle | 砂锅福建面 (by @ace108)

One of our local food in Singapore is Fried Hokkien Prawn noodle. Traditionally, it was served in something called opeh leaf. Some stalls still have them in the leave. Many are using mostly plastic plates nowadays. This one at Lorong 4 Toa Payoh which I go once a while is the only one I’ve see serving in claypot. This pot I had which serves two cost $10. Taste was good. Look at the sinful pork lard which adds to the taste which I have to skip mostly. 😎

Have you had Hokkien Prawn Noodle in a claypot? I think it works quite well to keep the food hot while you eat.

Posted using Partiko iOS

I don't understand, this is a challenge or something

I've included the rules in my post.

@ ace108 this looks very delicious dear friend.
thank you very much for teaching us
I wish you a great day

You're welcome. I think the heat kept by the pot sort of makes it continue to taste great.
Thanks for coming by. Have a nice day.

I never had it, but it sure looks good!

This is pretty local. So, unless you're in Singapore/Malaysia region, it may not be easy to come back. The recipe while does not require lots of ingredients do involve some elaborate process. The details is in getting the stock/gravy to the taste to fried the noodle. Here is one variation of the recipe for you to have a look and see if it's worth the trouble.
