Recently, I was walking around in Changi Airport Terminal 2 and I spotted this popiah vending machine. If you have to ask what’s popiah means you are not so familiar with the Singapore snack food. Years ago, I have an American colleague working with me in Singapore. Let’s call him Steve. We introduced Steve to our local snack popiah which can be bought in a stall downstairs from the office. Since then, Steve started going it himself and refer to them as Chinese Burrito. Well, it’s not exactly burrito but it’s go some cooked ingredients which includes radish, egg among other stuff with some sauce that go into a wrap. The wrap (or skin) gets soggy from the gravy and sauce quite fast and it’s best to eat it quick. Incidentally, I found there is an entry for "popiah" in wikipedia. 我最近在樟宜机场第2搭客厅走着看见了这台 薄饼自动售货机。 如果你不知道何为 薄饼，那等于你对新加坡休食品并不熟悉。多年前，我有一位美国同事在新加坡和我一起工作。 我们就叫他史蒂夫吧。 我们把本地小吃 薄饼介绍给史蒂夫。在办公室楼下就有一个摊位可以买到。 从那以后，史蒂夫时不时亲自到楼下买薄饼还称之为中华卷饼（就因为他比较熟悉墨西哥的卷饼）。里面可不是什么墨西哥卷饼但也是各种馅料用薄饼皮卷起来的。那皮一下子会因为里面的料而浸湿所以也最好快点吃。我查过百度百科也有记载这薄饼。如果你有兴趣，去这里：https://baike.baidu.com/item/新加坡薄饼
