Locomotive monument L-3285
In Samara, a new technical monument appeared in front of the railway station - a steam locomotive of the L series under the numbers 3285. The opening of the unique monument took place on September 30, 2016, and it was installed in honor of the 13th anniversary of the Russian Railways.
The steam locomotive was built at the Voroshilovgrad plant named after the October Revolution in 1953.
More than 50 years he worked on the Kuibyshev Railway. About 30 years, the locomotive transported the goods, and then it was used as a shunting locomotive in the depot of Sterlitamak. It is written off in 2011.
The monument is unique in that, with complete preservation of the original hull and its entrails, the authors were able to show how the steam engine works.
The steam locomotive is presented as though in a cut, the part of the case is removed, and work of mechanisms is highlighted.
