وسبحان الله هذا المشهد الذي نراه اليوم ولم يكن لأحد علم به ‏قبل اليوم أخبر عنه القرآن في آية عظيمة، يقول تعالى:(وَإِنْ يَرَوْا كِسْفًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ سَاقِطًا يَقُولُوا ‏سَحَابٌ مَرْكُومٌ) [الطور: 44].ومعنى (كِسْفًا) أي (قِطعاً) وهو قول ابن عباس رضي الله عنه،ولذلك ‏فإن البشر لا يمكنهم رؤية هذه الحجارة إنما يرون الغيوم والسحب الناتجة عن احتكاكها بالغلاف ‏الجوي واحتراق أجزاء منها لتظهر على شكل سحب دخانية،وهذا ما وصفه القرآن بدقة فائقة
