Happy Mother’s Day! + Woodworking Project
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms here on Steemit! Hope you each had an awesome day!
We have been celebrating mom this weekend here at our house and with some other family that lives in the area. A good mom is so important in peoples' lives and their development, and I am blessed to have a wife who is a fantastic mother to our kids and is very dedicated and loving to them.
One thing I have done for the last few years for my wife on Mother's Day is worked with the kids to make a special project for mom. I enjoy using my hands (though my skills are somewhat limited based on not too much experience) so we usually do something out of wood.
This year was no different - we made a wooden spoon for mom out of a block of wood and then did some wood burning to make it even more special. Here was the finished project:
It took us longer to make than I would have anticipated, but I do not have a formal workshop with lots of tools for specific things, so we used what we had as well as our muscles to cut, carve and sand the wood into a useable spoon. The spoon is fairly substantial and large, so I was joking that it is the only spoon in the city that could knock an intruder out cold or break a car window with ease! There are a few things I would do differently next time, such as not eyeball the design and actually measure a little, as the spoon is slightly lopsided - but hey, the imperfection just shows how much effort we put in right? Here are a couple of pictures of the progress:

I hope and you shared with your mother brother, also there is no better gift that our mother is alive for us and she to have the happiness of having children, I hope and you have had a good time in this day and what a good sketch of the spoon although you can see strong to make the cut.

Happy Mother's Day, I'm surprised that even if you do not have many tools you made a nice gift to your wife, you have many skills but the most important is that you are a good father, son and husband, you and your wife form a great team to those children so beautiful
Nobody can take the place of a mother.your family photo is awesome and loving.it will give sence to many bad people.and your project was too good.what could be best than a mother in life.

And more it's the love that counts, the love you put in making this spoon makes it all the more wonderful.

Mothers day should be the way everyone treats their mother every day! It's so comforting to impress Mom with a new gift or a new food, like I do. Your wood spoon shows the dedication and the capability of showing affection in every single detail, and like so, the love and appreciation you have for your wife!
