To the Motherless

What's the role of a mother? It's more than a gateway into this world, isn't it? Or is it?

Is it somebody who makes us feel as though we're welcome on this planet and we belong here? Is it someone who shows us how to be humans and live on this planet?

Well, most mothers show us how to live on this planet; that's for sure. Most of them are quite reactionary and scared and scarcity focused and show us some pretty erroneous and detrimental ways of being a human and living on this planet.

For most of us, we must find our own way. For most of us, the way that was shown to us isn't a healthy, life-giving, joyful, successful way to be a human on planet earth.

Very few of us feel we belong here. Not really.

That feeling of drifting. Of not having a home - not really.

Is the role of a mother to give us a sense of home on the planet?

This is to all the motherless.

May you find a sense of joy and adventure at the impermanence of life and that we're never really home here.

I hope you've found your own way to joy.

I hope you've figured out how to be a healthy and successful human on planet earth.

I hope your heart is full.

I hope you've found fulfillment.

I hope you've found people and relationships that enrich your life and help you feel you have a place in the world.

I hope you have favorite places in nature that you know well and that know you - where you come and feel welcomed and a sense of being home. I hope the flowers say hi and you greet each other.

I hope you've found your place of home inside of your own infinity - the part of you that never dies, will never die, and has always been and will always be.
